mój kochanek wcale nie jest piękny
i charakter ma raczej trudny
ale kto mi umaluje niebo
w ciemny fiolet popołudnia
gdy pozwolę mu odejść i nie wrócić

mój kochanek ma gorące usta
i rząd ostrych zębów kiedy śmiechem
odpowiada na wyzwanie światu
mój kochanek ma usta które wschodzą
półksiężycem nad każdą z moich nocy

mój kochanek nie jest czuły jego oczy
w prostokącie ulicy tańczą
zażega w dziewczętach płomień
uczepiona u jego cienia
trzymam miłość moją za włosy

w jego cieniu wątłe źdźbło trawy
w kwietniową jabłoń rozkwita

my lover is not at all good-looking
and his personality is rather difficult
but who will paint the sky for me
dark purple in the afternoon
if I let him go to not come back

my lover has a hot mouth
and a row of sharp teeth when he answers
smiling to the world's challenge
my lover has a mouth which waxes
in a halfmoon over each of my nights

my lover is not sensitive his eyes
dance in the rectangle of the street
he sets fire in girls
I clinging to his shadow
clutch my own love by the hair

in his shadow a frail shoot of grass
blossoms into an April apple tree
